2016 Expo a Day of Celebration of Science

May 18, 2016

This year's STEM-Ed Innovators Expo attracted several hundred middle- and high-school students and their teachers (STEM-Ed Fellows) to a day of presenting science projects and absorbing projects of other schools. Exhibits ranged from purification of the Bronx River, to remote activation of human limbs, to isolating strwberry DNA, which were enthusiastically described to visitors. The event was keynoted by Camsie McAdams, Partner, Academy Strategy, of The New Teacher Project, whose mission is to end the injustice of educational inequality by providing excellent teachers - which is also the mission of STEM-Ed Innovators. Camsie enthralled her young audience by recounting her life's experiences with humorous anecdotes.
